You might try using original audio files or community-sourced recordings to recreate the old CS GO sounds. Avoid mods and stick to legitimate sources to prevent issues with comp games.

The only way I perceive it happening is through mods in a private or modded lobby.

There seems to be no option to download an older version of CS. Plus, if you're not fond of the new gun sounds, you might want to explore other options.

Replace the existing audio files with the updated versions and rename the old ones to match the names of the new files. When the game needs the new sound, it will instead load the previously saved file (you’ll assign its name to the new one). You might need to update the files after each update or verification, as systems could detect changes and swap them. Disclaimer: This method doesn’t guarantee no consequences, and I’m not liable for any problems it might cause.

You'll be removed from any server where 'sv_pure' equals 1. This includes all valve servers and certain community servers. Modifying textures, sounds, or models won't result in a VAC ban. However, you won't be allowed to join those servers because they require file consistency.

Only on a private server can you do it; not on a valve server like during competitive play. It will remove you from the game and require file validation. I've tried this before without a vac ban, though outcomes might vary.

Play the old CSGO version through Steam > Library > CSGO > Properties > Betas > Demo. Then execute csgo.exe with admin privileges from the game folder, as this is the only method that works. Remember, you can only use bots for this. Have fun!
