Find Amazon Mod Pcs for running Steam on Windows.
They claim to tweak the CPUs and GPUs. It would have been better if they mentioned that they also modified the company's hardware, along with Windows. I don’t know how someone could modify a CPU or GPU (except for overclocking, which is kind of a modding thing but not exactly clear).
Outside of OC or in certain situations... UnderClocking. They didn’t. Not really, especially not a hardware-based mod. Based on what you’ve shared so far, I think they’re unlikely to change their stance. That’s why I mentioned it’s a waste of time and energy for you to argue with them or try to convince them.
I think the CPU and Gou modding aren't genuine, though Steam might still work if you restart it.
Not exactly. Certain very basic computers operate in a restricted mode where only the Microsoft store and its apps are accessible. You can perform a regedit hack to essentially reset the system to a standard state—kind of like a Chrome OS setup. Apart from that... The main claim seems questionable.
this scenario highlights the challenges of running Windows 10 S on a machine with just 4 gigabytes of RAM. it serves as a practical illustration of the limitations discussed here https://www.recompute.com.au/leader-comp...b-storage/
I need to stop using that Minecraft laptop. Also, is Windows S just another version that doesn’t work for anything?
PMSL windows "S" refers to Student, meaning it has limited features. I can confirm a full Windows 10 installation isn't ideal for this device. After getting one free, I attempted a clean install of Windows 10 Home and Pro, but both versions failed—blue screens every time. Now I use Linux Mint Debian Edition 5 with the EMMC drive for /root and a 128GB SD card for /home. It works well on low-range Wi-Fi when positioned near your extender or router. A spare USB Wi-Fi adapter would be best. You can play Minecraft on it, but most of my use is for checking game help, browsing news sites, or watching YouTube.
