Amazon and other companies modify PCs to enable Steam and certain Windows apps. Some users claim these systems are essentially modified Windows. They also mention that manufacturers may alter CPUs and GPUs. Modifying hardware is possible but requires technical knowledge and carries risks.

They encounter issues when launching Steam because there are no OEM modding tools for Windows, making it difficult to run the program or similar software. You can always reinstall if needed. Amazon typically doesn’t interfere with PCs directly; they usually purchase from suppliers and deliver them to customers.

Everything on the Windows PC is fully functional, not controlled by animals. Steam runs smoothly, and all applications work properly.

They didn’t mention a particular issue, just mentioned their brother attempted running Sea of Thieves but Steam wouldn’t work. I suggested trying 32-bit or 64-bit versions, but they confirmed they’ve tested both on their systems. It turned into a fairly heated discussion, and it seems they have a tech support relative I’ll reach out to later. I plan to contact another support person for a broader view and request a faster response here.

Uncertain about their ability to operate steam; it seems "steam won't function" and it looks like the Microsoft Store isn't permitting Spotify access either.

My laptop was shipped with Windows 11 already installed and supports Steam. I didn’t purchase it online, so there’s no Amazon service available in my region. It isn’t a custom-built desktop like iBuypower; it’s straightforward. Don’t waste time debating with those who can’t provide solid evidence or aren’t willing to conduct proper tests. Save yourself from unnecessary hassle and wasted time.

Hey there! Just wanted to say I wasn’t sure about the game and thought it might be offline. Thanks for explaining! It’s pretty wild how far online gaming has come.
