It's been a while since I looked, and I noticed non-EA games on their site... Are they trying to match Steam by adding their own platform? Could they be joining forces with Ubisoft? I've seen many Ubisoft titles too.

They wouldn’t stand a chance in the current scene. Their offerings don’t even match up. Origin and Uplay act as tightly controlled sales channels, only letting developers sell their titles—something that feels outdated and harmful to the gaming world. Steam, on the other hand, supports a wide range of games.

The future of Origin won't match Steam's success. Case closed.

Origin has been away for a while and most people rely on exclusive titles such as Crysis 3, Battlefield games, and Mass Effect 3, which you can only access there. In my opinion, it's a much better platform than Steam. Steam is the largest and will remain dominant for a while, though it currently lacks real competition. On the other hand, GOG is gaining momentum quickly, and I believe it's the top choice available. I recommend everyone explore GOG.

EA has removed certain titles from Steam, so I don’t play those anymore. The only games I own through my original account are the ones I received for free.

They won't be able to compete. It's more of a website for purchasing and installing DRM-free games. But I'm okay with GOG, thanks!

I understand what origin means. It's really caught me off guard to see Watchdogs 2 in the origin section. You're right, Ubisoft isn't EA.
