I'm using a high-end machine, yet Fortnite still consumes nearly all my GPU during lobby play. In-game performance drops to 30%-50%, while idle stays at 100%. I think the issue is related to the FPS cap, and enabling V-Sync helps resolve it. My monitor is 165Hz, and I don't use V-Sync because of input lag. Do you have a method to limit frames specifically in the lobby? For example, capping at 60 and increasing when playing? Let me know! - Fibeus 2018

I didn't realize it needed capping. Just making sure the text fits properly. Let me know if you need anything adjusted!

I don’t feel comfortable with my card at 80 degrees when the game runs in the background, and I also don’t want my PC to sound like a fast-moving car. *P.S. I just want this in the lobby.*

Choose to reduce your fan speed or invest in a superior cooling solution for your card.

You believe MSI Afterburner or Riva Tuner can achieve your goals, just adjust the setting to X and switch to Y as needed.

I was using the Gaming App from MSI in auto OC mode, which is why I didn’t think about Afterburner, as I wasn’t aiming to overclock the card. A smart choice nonetheless. I’ll try it out!

Adjust the settings for a lower startup level and increase volume during gameplay.
