It's comparable to mining, where I receive payments for AI projects. I could make over $7 each day. However, playing games during this time might lead to being removed from my current job and placed back on the waiting list. I still want to play with my clan without affecting my earnings. Right now, my setup seems risky—if I use a 4090 with a 4x fast PCIe slot, I could swap it for a RX 580 or a better card when funds allow.

The setup seems confusing—why would it cost $7 a day for such a large model?

No, you're not wrong. It's definitely not that much.

Imagine purchasing that 4090 for $1800 in the US. It would likely require about eight months to clear the debt, while ignoring the ongoing electricity costs of running it. You might have avoided the expense altogether and earned more instead.

In a year you've covered the card cost and added some money to your savings? Yet you're skipping the benefits. Renting a 4090 to use for others is tricky—depends on your earnings and whether $200 makes sense yearly. For me, it wasn't worth it. Or are you clinging to the cash? My 1080Ti from 2018 was worth $729, mining during off-peak hours while using the card for daily play. I earned a tiny fraction of a bitcoin each year. Keeping that BT still makes it worthwhile. More importantly, it was rewarding to use the card and enjoy it. You wouldn't drive a Civic while running a Ferrari.

It's not mining, so no Bitcoin and all bills are included in my rent. Up to a set amount per month, and while on the cheaper jobs, it can suck away a ton of power. Once you get to the AI jobs, the power draw is quite minimal. Plus add the $7 to another way I can earn money with my PC, I'm currently earning about $10 a day And as I said, I plan to get a better card (Maybe a 4078/4080) for gaming.
