You can limit the frame rate to 120fps in Skyrim by adjusting your settings or using a mod that caps performance. Check the game’s performance options or try a performance tweak to achieve the desired frame rate.

In your card drivers, you have the ability to set a fixed frame rate. Both AMD and Nvidia support this feature. Additionally, look at the game settings—some titles include built-in frame rate locks.

It's not this game. Where exactly within the GeForce Experience can I locate it?

You can also tweak your monitor's refresh rate via the Nvidia control panel and turn on Vsync in the 3D settings.

It doesn't work with the special edition. Appreciate the update in settings—it seems to function now. Your improvements are really helpful.

You'll likely need Havok fixes because the physics fail at over 60fps. Check out the SKSE links for Skyrim mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/91598 and https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspeciale...mods/18160

I did that and it shows 165 fps, but it’s not 165 hz. I understand why—sometimes the display or settings show a different rate. Why?
