Many ultra-low graphics mods are aimed at Intel GPU or very basic settings. For your R5 330M, you should be able to run GTA V in 1080p at 40+ FPS with a modest performance. It might work well if you adjust the settings to lower resolution and frame rate. If you need help finding a suitable mod, let me know!

Avoid using a non-gaming laptop for gaming purposes. It can strain the device and isn't designed for that use.

I don’t play super intense games, just occasional ones. I haven’t tried GTA V yet.

It seems the ultra low graphics mods adjust settings below what’s typically supported, which means they should function with discrete graphics cards too. Another option is to run the game at a resolution that matches your native display scaling. For example, using 720p on a 1440p monitor (with four times scaling) reduced jaggles and improved smoothness. A higher resolution like 1080p with four times scaling (960x540) might appear less sharp but could be worth testing.
