System specs needed: CPU must be Intel Core i7-3770 or higher or AMD FX 8350 at 4 GHz+, RAM should be 16 GB, graphics support NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB VRAM or Radeon RX 480, and DirectX version 11.
I also tried it and it didn’t work. Honestly, I’d like to understand why the game triggers that error in the event viewer. Most games seem to need more specs or might not be compatible at all. For example, Call of Duty WWII min requirements asks for a Ryzen 5, but it functions perfectly on my Phenom II X6.
since everything is recorded in the event viewer, each time an app performs any action it appears there, particularly when it crashes. it's widely known now that FFXV is a poorly built port that frequently fails on many systems, even those designed to handle it well. you might not find success until they release a fix.
I encountered issues at first launch. Resolved it by accessing GeForce Experience and adjusting their suggested configurations. They also released updated drivers.
This product supports 1080p at 30fps. Lower specs like 720p at 30fps are acceptable on most systems. The minimum requirements include Windows 7 SP1 64 bit, Windows 8.1 64 bit, or Windows 10 64 bit, an Intel Core i5-2500 or AMD FX 6100 processor, 8GB RAM, and a hard drive of 100GB or more. A graphics card such as NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760, GTX 1050, or AMD Radeon R9 280 is recommended. The screen resolution is 1280x720p, targeting 720p at 30fps. For optimal performance, consider moving the game from a slower HDD to an SSD or a faster 7200RPM drive. Running benchmarks shows average performance around 60fps, so aim for higher settings until you reach a stable frame rate. Start with 720p Lite and progress through the tiers until the rate falls below your comfort level.
I haven't tried yet, but I've been looking into things myself. I switched to a board with an I7-2600 and everything works smoothly—games and benchmarks run without problems. @Evanair you're right, though; the Phenom II X6 seems capable, but online reports suggest Square Enix may have imposed restrictions on supported CPUs. It looks like we might need to wait and see if they change their policy or if a patch exists. My mistake was not mentioning that my 2TB 7200RPM SSD holds all my games, though some take a while to load (like GTA V and BF4).
