There aren't many top PC control sets for FF XIV, and most players tend to use a controller. The standard setup feels quite poor by comparison.

I recently tried FF XIV for a short time and had no issues with the controls.

Most players adjust the controls to suit their preferences. FFxiv offers an extensive range of settings that may seem confusing at first but let you configure it as desired. Also, try to skip using colored text unless absolutely necessary, as it can be difficult to read.

You're referring to the settings that let you switch between using a mouse and keyboard or a controller. It also mentions custom keybindings and how they affect gameplay. The interface includes options for changing input methods, with toggles for mouse, keyboard, and control pad. Keybinds are mapped to specific actions like 1-5, F1-F4, Q, E, and special modifiers. Additional shortcuts are added using shift, control, and modifier keys, especially on European keyboards. The layout features a central area with HP/MP/TP bars and a target bar, plus hotbars for abilities.

It seems you're looking for guidance on starting MMO gaming on PC. You're new to the scene and want to know what works well. Considering a second mouse, like the Razer Naga, is a good idea, but it's worth checking if it adds value. You mentioned preferring keyboard and mouse for flexibility in customizing your experience.
