Final Fantasy XIII ended up being one of the worst PC versions ever. Don’t purchase the PC release locked at 720p with 57fps—no menu choices and the camera rotation is a nightmare using a mouse. My Logitech F710 controller works only for this game. I really enjoyed the FF series and loved Final Fantasy 6, 7, and 8.
I completely get what you mean. I’m really into the Final Fantasy series and Square Enix in general. I thought this would be a genuine release, but I wasn’t sure it’d live up to expectations—especially since most PC games from that publisher tend to disappoint. Still, I have to take it.
Worse than Dark Souls? GTA IV? It’s not all that surprising, but it’s not exactly what I was hoping for. I’m okay with a bit of flexibility from Square because they’re trying out some Japanese titles for PC, which is great. The worst port is actually functional at least, honestly. It lacks features that rely on people's computers, so it isn't a bad port just not ideal. Internet seems to have only two options: the best possible experience or something terrible. The internet-only setup appears to be either amazing or completely useless.
