I used Ccleaner, and it deleted many important things from my computer. Can I get them back?

did you use CleanMe on your computer, or should we check out Recuva instead?

I tried using the default option to wipe my cache. That sounds common, right?

Deleting cache isn't supposed to delete your files. It might be those kinds of things, or maybe something else. Yes, Recuva is made by CCleaner.

If you delete important things from a drive that is busy right now, like the main system disk, those items often get stuck and can't be found again within just minutes. CCleaner probably won't do anything harmful unless your computer isn't working well at all. When it's doing its job correctly, it only removes temporary files you don't really need.

Are you asking if something really disappeared or just if there are items you lost that you want back? I don't use CCleaner anymore, but when I did, it helped me find all the junk files. I would keep it open while going straight to the things CCleaner found and manually deleting them with another program. Every time you refresh CCleaner after a manual clean and shred, "my other program" tells you exactly what you wanted to delete forever was gone. CCleaner with its basic clean is good enough to hide those annoying web pages from others but if someone has skills, your drive can turn completely white with everything that can be recovered.
