Essentially, whenever I save music (it's all fine) I tend to pile the files everywhere on my desktop after opening a rar. Now I have over 50 mixtapes scattered around, which looks messy and might slow down my computer. The issue is that when I try to open one file at a time, iTunes shows an error: "The Song ___ could not be used because the original file could not be found." Need help?

For reasons I had, I stopped using iTunes because relocating files doesn’t erase the previous links, leaving behind duplicates. You could switch to another music app or it’s frustrating you have to recreate playlists just to fix broken connections.

Mainly foobar2000 at this point. I can't think of anything else that comes close to it, you can add alot of places for it to monitor, like i have mine looking at downloads music files and a few other places, you can change the outlook to whatever you want. On otherhand, do you have an iphone or android phone?

I’d prefer iTunes for its simplicity, just follow the instructions in the video and handle any broken links whenever you shift things.

You can use an iPhone plugin to Foobar. However, another method exists. With WinRAR (or 7-zip) you can save the last folders where files were extracted. When you open a new rar, choose the previous location. There are also choices to build a new folder for each file instead of mixing them together.
