Out of pure curiosity a few days ago I selected "Small icons" and "auto arrange." Now even after rebooting they revert to their original small size, no longer following the grid I manually set. I've adjusted them back this time for the third attempt. They also snap into auto arranged while I was arranging them as desired. I'm using Windows 10. I haven't found a clear "this is how" guide online. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I encountered issues where desktop icons shifted positions after certain events. I used DesktopOK to resolve this, which was simpler than tracking the problem each time the icons changed.

I haven't come across it before but I'm going to share the solution. I'm sure there are similar apps available. Thanks! Updated after a reboot since the last posts (after installing DesktopOK), and my icons still stay in place. Thanks again!
