You're facing a common issue when copying large volumes of files due to filename restrictions. Here are some possible solutions:

- Adjust the destination folder path to avoid long filenames.
- Rename or shorten files before copying using built-in tools like File Explorer or PowerShell commands.
- Use a different drive with longer filename support if available.
- Check registry settings for advanced file handling options (advanced users only).
- Consider third-party utilities designed for bulk copying with filename filtering.

Let me know if you'd like step-by-step instructions for any of these methods.

I needed to adjust something similar before. Turn on long path support and place the files in the root directory. That way, everything functions properly. Without this adjustment, the app wouldn't work at all, which confirms what I thought earlier.

I don't recall it clearly anymore. I'll check it later today or tomorrow and share the details then.

I've updated the registry setting 'LongPathsEnabled' to 1. It worked more than a year ago but didn't before. I'm using Windows 10 Home and can't use the Group Policy Editor.

The message appears when the full path exceeds a certain length, which is a Windows API issue. Some older programs struggle with such long routes. Modern systems offer updated functions that handle long paths, but default settings in tools like Windows Explorer may cause errors. Alternatives include using applications designed for long filenames or employing workarounds like renaming folders to shorter names. If you have ample space, compressing the folder into an archive and extracting it preserves the long paths. For single files that can't be deleted, using UNC paths forces long routes. Simply add a forward slash before the path in commands like RENAME, which makes the system use extended lengths.

7-ZIP succeeded! All folders and files were compressed using STORE format without any issues. Appreciate it!
