Hello everyone, two days ago I purchased a new gaming laptop, which is essentially a refurbished unit. When attempting to install Bitdefender Total Security, the download completed without issues, but during installation it would display an error when trying to decompress the package. I experimented with various workarounds—disabling Windows Defender, adjusting properties, running as administrator—but none resolved the problem. I also noticed that if the setup file is a proper .exe, installing it directly works smoothly. However, with .rar or other compressed files, extraction fails and a corrupted window appears. I’m unsure what’s causing this issue and would really appreciate any guidance from the community. Thanks in advance, Yacine — sorry for posting in the wrong section!

Use a different decompression tool such as 7-Zip.
