I configured several mirrored partitions instead of RAID, but whenever there’s a power outage or my computer crashes, they re-sync themselves, making the hard drives inaccessible. Do you have any suggestions on whether to disable this feature or what steps to take? This setup shows disk 1 and disk 2 at 100%.

All components are connected through the Intel controller. The sole operation on the asmedia unit is the DVD drive. Whenever my computer experiences a blue screen or power loss, this occurs. The process usually requires over 3 to 4 hours to finish.
