You're dealing with a Windows 7 installation issue after transferring data. The system initially booted from Vista, but now it's failing to boot from Windows 7 itself. After removing the Vista drive and trying various recovery methods like bootrec and partition wizard, the problem persists. In Windows RE, when searching for a compatible Windows installation, it lists both Windows 7 and Vista, even though you don't have the Vista drive. However, when attempting to repair, it flags incompatibility.

Ensure all drives are unplugged before installing the OS; doing so prevents issues and avoids reinstalling.

I prefer not to reinstall, as that would be my final option. I haven’t saved any of my files yet.
