I recently added a TWAIN driver for our company’s network printer. Initially, the document management software struggled to locate it until I moved it into the users’ “WINDOWS” folder. Now two users can start scanning documents within the program. The current issue is that some users don’t have a WINDOWS folder under their account directory. For instance, when logging in as the system admin and navigating to C:\Users\ADMIN2013, it works fine, but for coworkers’ accounts, the folder isn’t present. I suspect this relates to a registry problem. How can I make these users recognize the folder without manually creating it?

They shouldn't be a Windows folder in the account. The only expected Windows folder is C:/windows. They might still scan, but it wouldn't be correct. The program likely chose a different location by accident.

The Windows folder is expected only in the C:\ root directory, which might explain why the program isn't locating the TWAIN drivers. I'm considering copying the contents of that current folder to test recognition.

Note: The TWAIN drivers are being detected by other applications, not this one. The person who assisted me reviewed registry settings, but compatibility appears limited to specific accounts—my confusion remains.
