After arranging things, my file icons still won’t show up, even after refreshing or restarting the computer.
I relocated an item from C:\Users\PC\oldplace to C:\Users\PC\newplace, keeping the shortcut active. It will now use the icon located at C:\Users\PC\oldplace/thing.png. You should create a new shortcut or redirect it to your desired location, so it appears as C:\Users\PC\newplace/thing.exe.
