Attempting to reinstall drivers manually is causing issues because the files are unzipped from their downloaded folders and aren’t loading properly. Running them as an administrator hasn’t resolved the problem, and both Windows Defender and Malwarebytes appear unaffected. This could be due to corrupted installation files, conflicting software, or a deeper system issue.
It varies by distribution method—some include an executable installer while others don't.
My system is a personalized setup, so there are no standard installers. I'm fetching them directly from Asus' site.
I've checked the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers. The device is on a different machine, but I've attached a screenshot for reference. I'm using AsusSetup (EXE file—file extensions were toggled).
AsusSetup functionality should function, possibly operating quietly. Alternatively, you can open Device Manager, choose the update driver for the BT device, then select Manual and direct it to that directory.
The device manager route didn’t assist either; however, I observed that during another extraction attempt, 7zip reported an error about "data at the end of the payload." This issue seemed to happen initially as well, though I missed it due to distraction. Changing the file extension from zip to rar didn’t resolve the problem. It might suggest a deeper compatibility concern with 7zip in this scenario.
It's good to hear the technical issues are resolved; the power-cycling helped fix both the PSU problems and Bluetooth connectivity. I'm curious about why the drivers didn't load properly—was it because they were already current? Thanks for your patience and support, Kilrah!
