It works well with widgets and offers many options for customization. I updated it and after restarting it, the changes didn<|pad|> to disappear. The main issue is that all the widgets I previously added keep showing up on each restart, even after removing them. Everything else looks normal, but the widgets just reappear (or when it shuts down and starts again). It’s really frustrating to have to remove five widgets and three sticky notes every time I turn it on.

You can find the KDE and Qt versions in the Info Center. I experienced a similar problem in version 5.16, but it seems resolved in 5.17.

There could be an issue with the ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc folder. You might want to delete it, log out and back in to reset your desktop settings. It could result in a clean slate—just be careful. Another option is to edit the applet entries in that file and see if that fixes the problem.

I removed that configuration earlier, reconfigured everything, and after restarting it started over again. I’ve been investigating the cause and noticed many factors suggest it’s KDE Neon rather than KDE itself—most users on this version and KDE Neon seem to experience this problem. I’m planning to try Manjaro and LXQt. While KDE works well for low RAM usage and speed, I feel like custom settings might have defaulted to a standard style found in other desktop environments. I’ll verify if my Wi-Fi card is supported in Manjaro; otherwise, I’ll move there. Thanks for your help! Thread closed.
