You're dealing with an encrypted RAR file that's partially recovered. Since you're familiar with non-encrypted RAR files, you might be able to apply similar decryption methods manually. Check if there are any recovery tools or utilities that can help extract the missing parts of the file. Also, consider verifying the password again and exploring options for partial recovery. If needed, a step-by-step manual approach could work.

Use 7-Zip to compress files and then extract them as needed.

the fuck....why didn't I try that? I should stop using winrar Winrar will open broken files, but not encrypted ones. 7zip will say wrong pass, will still attempt to spit something out ...little bit of fucking around with a hex editor...kinda make a fake end of the file or something by slapping the data from another archive on the end of it..., using a file that's not broken and encryted with the same password I was able to get it to work in winrar. Just did that right before I tried 7zip god dammit. I mean I've always knew 7zip is better and picked winrar for some reason....but damn damn and by doing that trick with the hex editor, I only got it like half back, I think I got the whole file with 7zip damn.... fuck winrar thanks seriously, you made my day
