I noticed a recent video covering creating a custom Windows 11 install via an Answer XML file that writes to an iSO for a clean setup. It’s definitely impressive, but I’m curious about adding an Answer unattend.xml for an in-place upgrade during installation. Would it be possible to configure Windows 11 to perform an inplace upgrade using this file? I’d really like to reduce the installation impact without wiping my system, especially since I have many software licenses for audio and video. Any suggestions on how to make this work smoothly would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have an extra storage device available? You might simply connect it and run some tests.

I frequently work with virtual machines and have been conducting some tests inside them. It appears I’ve discovered some of what I needed to make it function, though it seems I might have partially solved my own issue.

We mainly focus on assisting individuals in addressing their challenges. Rubber duck debugging proves to be quite useful.

It’s frustrating when I ask for help only to end up feeling foolish. It makes me feel like I’m wasting everyone’s time, something I usually try to avoid. Still, I’m grateful for your support.

I've faced this too. It's tough to let go of mistakes, especially when expertise feels like part of who you are. Yet, it's worth it. I'm still working on seeking help in various areas, but I've never felt hurt by asking before.
