File explorer assistance: it doesn’t display all files during scrolling.
Hi everyone, I'm not unfamiliar with Windows, but I've been searching online for a solution, yet nothing seems to work. This issue started on my Framework 16 laptop and every other Windows 11 machine I've used. When I scroll through a folder in File Explorer, I notice it takes time—about 1-3 seconds—for the explorer to refresh and then display the missing files. I'm trying to share what's happening with you, as it's really frustrating to locate a file only to realize it wasn't there in the first place. Could anyone help me resolve this? Thanks, Mike
I'll need to look into it later after work. Could indexing be the reason? I remember turning it off in Vista for similar problems.
If it's turned on and you disable it, will that resolve your problem? I usually don’t look for solutions unless indexing is affecting how files load while scrolling. If that’s the case, turning it off might help. Also, it’s strange that a feature that worked in Windows 7/10 is now causing issues again.

Hello... usually disabling indexing helps. It seems it was already enabled. Windows consumes resources while indexing disks when you're not using them. It won't complete before a certain point after installation if you have other drives that need indexing.
Indexing was already enabled, so I'm trying to figure out what might be causing this problem. I've re-indexed everything on the SSD, but the explorer is still experiencing the same issue. Could you offer any additional ideas? Thanks, Mike.
