Attempting to update Windows 1803 caused an error. I watched a tutorial where someone scanned using CMD and said the files were fixed, but mine didn’t work. Need advice on fixing them before proceeding? Thanks!

I encountered an issue after updating past version 1803. The simplest solution is to fetch the latest ISO file from the provided link and reinstall Windows.

Usually I lose every program unless I make a backup to a pen.

Start from the command prompt with admin rights. Execute DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth once it completes, then run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth when done. If issues persist, consider reinstalling Windows.

I made the updates to my Windows, and it worked perfectly. No applications were lost.
