Rockstar appeared receptive to community feedback for a short time. After the delay announcement, the Rockstar site received numerous complaints that were quickly removed. This issue persisted in Steam forums as well, where the situation continued to gain traction. They tried to redirect some discussions but later realized it wasn’t a good idea. http://steamcommunity.com/app/271590/dis...056079944/ It seems they understood that forcing a console release of Heists first wouldn<|pad|> to be problematic. This wasn<|pad|>, not because of lingering bugs, but due to timing and expectations. EDIT: Someone on Steam forums suggested this as a possible explanation.

It's a positive development since we won't require 50 post-release updates for smooth operation. The internet isn't capable of handling such good news, so it's wise to disregard it.

I'm also on the same side as the developer. Development has gone on for a long time, making it feel like a mess. Of course, some fixes after launch would help, but I think the version they'd have released on the 27th would have worked just fine. This seems like a push to get everything ready for consoles before PCs came around.

I prefer a buggy game with lots of updates over a nonexistent game.

Sure, I’m ready to wait. I really want them to create the best possible game, so I won’t get too upset about this. But... honestly. When they said they’d set a new launch date, I realized something wasn’t right. Rockstar doesn’t usually do that, and from that point on, I knew it would be delayed. Two months feels like a long time, and I can’t help feeling let down by the slow pace. They pushed out the PC version and then kept pushing back, which only added to my frustration. I’m not going to go full conspiracy theorist, but for a game this impressive, I get why people are upset. Still, when someone says just be patient... it’s not enough. I get why some people feel that way, and I think it makes sense.

It took a long time to develop this, and it's been available on PS4 and Xbox One for quite some time. If it was a flawed product, those developers should be held accountable. The main problem is that it takes two months to refine a game after years of development, suggesting they didn’t invest enough effort into the PC version.

It's a fair point, I know nothing of game development, so whether or not that timeline is accurate, I really cannot speculate. I wish Rockstar was not so tight lipped about everything, I am very curious as to why it was delayed so long. It is certainly possible that console manufacturers wanted to maintain that exclusivity, but there's no proof, it could easily be the illuminati, I mean there are a lot of triangles in that game.

They've accomplished this prior, Rockstar consistently distrusted the PC platform and often labeled PC players as mere pirates.
