This was the precise reason I thought about Manjaro. I chose Fedora and I’m unsure if my ISO was damaged or life just didn’t work for me. I kept running into problems during installation. The other drive I had was a SUSE Tumbleweed, which is what I’m using now. I’ll keep it for a while because I’m already behind on work, but I might explore switching distros later. I’m fine with systemd and I completely understand the outdated software in stable versions, but right now I don’t feel the urge to upgrade everything to the newest version. As I mentioned, I plan to try new things soon. Thanks!

The SSD/HD seems fine. You can move it to a new system without reinstalling. As a Gentoo developer, you might prefer Sabayon, a binary version of Gentoo.

I used Manjaro for roughly a year without any problems, though results vary. For maximum stability, Solus is a solid choice. The package repo isn't the biggest, but I haven't encountered issues (currently only Budgie, MATE, GNOME and unofficially KDE are supported).
