Hey everyone, I've noticed my computer feels slower lately. I'm not sure what's causing it, but something seems off. I have an i7 920, a r9 290x, and about 12 GB of RAM. I'm trying to figure out the problem. Edit: What should I do to troubleshoot?

I'm not entirely confident about step four. Lol. But if he sticks with it, his computer could run significantly quicker because the motherboard might need an upgrade and he'll have to replace his card.

Do you have an SSD? If not, the mechanical drive might be the issue.

Haha. Never again with that specific game ever. That's what I'm saying.

Identify the slowest stage—startup phase? Review every application beginning with the operating system. For HDDs, perform general defragmentation with dedicated tools. Use CCleaner to analyze background tasks and optimize performance.

Normal hard drives are significantly slower compared to solid-state drives. If someone has been using the computer for a long time, it’s likely the hard drive is the issue. Many people I talk to mention their computers running slow because of the slow hard drive. Could it be that a lot of problems on the hard drive are leading to this slow performance?
