Hey there, I've been using Windows 10 for a while now and it's been working well until recently. I've noticed some issues lately, especially with the gaming features. The first thing that caught my attention was the random screen minimization—it happens whenever I launch CS:GO, sometimes on startup and other times while playing. At first it wasn't bothersome, but after a few hundred attempts I became really frustrated. Now it's happening more often and unpredictably. Sometimes the game just closes with a black screen, leaving only a blank box in the taskbar. After a few seconds it reappears, and I have to open Task Manager, use the TAB key to navigate, and then close CS:GO with DEL. Even though I can move the window, I can't click or press anything. I thought it was a one-off, but it's now happening about seven out of ten times when I start CS:GO. If I'm lucky, I can try using the "-window" option in the launch commands to open it in a windowed mode, but that doesn't always work. The real issue came up recently when I used Nvidia Shadowplay and the shadow function. I rely on pressing ALT + F10 to save the last three minutes of gameplay, which is useful for editing videos. I recently recorded a great 4K video with the Glock in the first round of CS:GO, but when I pressed ALT + F10 the game froze again, forcing me to repeat the same steps. I've tried restarting, but it keeps happening, making it impossible to record my clips. Anyone else experiencing these problems? I'm getting really frustrated.

I'm experiencing the reverse issue. When playing a game, it doesn't minimize as expected when I attempt to do so. Really frustrating.

There aren't many issues here. The only problem I've encountered with Windows 10 was related to an update they issued. It messed up Cortana's search in the start menu, but that was resolved with the subsequent update.

Windows 10 and Nvidia drivers are facing compatibility issues. Developers are making progress on a solution, but there is no official release timeline yet.

Try restarting the game or reinstalling it to see if that helps.

I get why that can be annoying too. I don’t downplay it because I have two monitors, so things I usually have to hide on one screen are visible on the other. I’m sure that’s the problem and I really wish they’d fix it soon. It’s just my games, not CS:GO.

You've likely already attempted this, but have you reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers?
