Faster method for updating a Windows operating system
Hello, I recently faced a hardware issue with my main solid-state drive, which required reinstalling Windows 7. After installing from a new drive, the process took about 20 minutes. Once the motherboard and graphics drivers were set up, downloading the updates took roughly 4 hours. Although my internet speed is fast at around 1.6MB/s, it still completed the updates much quicker than the installation time. After updating, I rebooted, checked for more updates, and encountered pop-ups repeatedly before restarting again. It seems there might be a faster method to set up Windows 7 without relying on a pre-installed version with updates already applied.
Well... besides getting the installation DVD that includes the updates, the only option seems to be... downloading the updates yourself.
I believe you're referring to "backup". Others do it, even though I don't handle it myself. They use it to work around this problem. I usually just wait for someone else to do a full reinstall.
