I've tackled this before. Doing it easily isn't a good excuse. It's better to challenge yourself. This approach suits me since I already have the necessary tools nearby and the room is dark tonight—no lights will keep me awake! The extra software for RGB control feels unnecessary when simplicity works. (Ten years?) Edit: Someone else shared a similar post here, so this might help others later.

RAM usually comes with long-term guarantees, which makes sense. I’m on board with the software side too. It’s pretty straightforward—just disable the motherboard’s RGB in the UEFI settings. It seems like RAM is more complex than it needs to be.

I shared a video showing the method I used to remove them. It could help someone later on. I switched from hot air to using a lot more solder with an angled tip. Also, observe how the LED affected the board—it makes the real image clearer. Of course, I also changed the cover, which makes it harder to see now.
