Some users noticed updates on the Antergos site indicating the project is ending. New releases will cease, and only Arch updates will be provided. Farewell to Antergos.

It was anticipated, yet Manjaro performed superior in all aspects.

I wasn't able to get the ancient USB drive to start on any of my computers, so thanks for the help.

I had friends who enjoyed it, though I never tried it myself. I was just preparing for this moment.

It was mainly a visual setup tool for Arch, though it offered quicker updates. Most features were similar to other distributions, but it came with less built-in personalization. You can run Arch alongside Gnome 3 and end up with very comparable results.

Yes, that doesn't mean someone couldn't have a personal preference for Antergos - they also had some extra repos with some stuff that would be in the AUR otherwise, a wiki and a forum. There are plenty of things in the Linux world that seem like unnecessary alternatives but that's part of the beauty of it. After all you could argue there's no need for a graphical Arch installer in the first place - the CLI version does "basically the same thing".

I just wish they could use that extra time to benefit Arch, Manjaro and ARTIX...
