People are excited about the new Far Cry, especially after playing it with Ubisoft+—it feels really engaging. For PC players, performance can be a bit hit or miss; I’ve seen some frame drops, likely due to my setup (3080 and 5800X). It would be great to hear what others think about that issue.

Playing on Stadia. 30 FPS at 4k. So far the experience is decent, not outstanding. Not the top Far Cry, but significantly improved over the previous version.

Sounds good! I assume you're confident about maintaining smooth performance without any noticeable frame rate drops.

There can be these instances occasionally, though they're rare. The quality may dip at times, but it usually recovers quickly—often within a few seconds.

Also I receive them, but they're not very common. Maybe it's a game performance issue.

You're getting close to finishing FC5, but after learning about FC6's many endings, you're feeling discouraged. Reading about FC6's endings made you lose interest in completing the game.

It's alright. So far the best Far Crys have been the odd ones for me. The even numbered ones are average or eh. Overall the game is a decent new installment to the series, but it was slow to get into. My problem with it is that it feels rather unpolished. I feel character models look worse, vehicle mounting/entering animations are very slow, so is melee, physics is... interesting and the interaction range for pickups is too short. Somehow they've managed to take a turn for the worse on a lot of points. The world is also a bit empty. For example, hunting animals feels useless as they don't get used for ammo pouches, extra weapon slots etc. like in 3. There's plenty of good stuff as well though. The environments look gorgeous and who doesn't love a rocket launching backpack. The game is almost an hommage to Just Cause. It runs fine on my 1080 Ti. Getting around 60-70 FPS average I would say, but it likes to dip deep sometimes for seemingly no obvious reason.

Not keen until prices drop significantly. Far Cry titles mostly feel the same from one game to another. The 5 version isn’t working properly and keeps crashing, leaving me stuck with 3 or New Dawn and Primal. Ironically, Primal stands out as the most unique among them, while the numbered games and ND are just variations of the same content.

I totally get it. I really loved Far Cry 4—it was probably the best in the series, maybe even better than Far Cry 3. The drops were awesome too; I’m on a 3080 and I also get them, so it feels like a game problem. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
