I strongly dislike Ubisoft, yet the Far Cry 4 PC edition in its newest update performs quite well. In contrast to FC3, it lags somewhat more, but I was anticipating even worse performance after Unity. My setup is average (i3 4160 + 270x) and it runs smoothly without issues.

Certainly, focusing on adjusting the proper configurations and understanding typical causes of performance issues can make a big difference. Most games perform well once you grasp these basics.

1440x900 display, maximum performance settings. Ran smoothly on my older Phenom, seems this game prefers Intel processors a lot.

It focuses heavily on draw calls in the main thread. AMD processors struggle with games that demand strong single-core performance.

I’m having trouble launching it on my PC. It opens and closes quickly, I’ve reinstalled it, used various SSDs, and tried different drivers. Still nothing. My friend @MegaDave91 mentioned Maxwell can have problems with FC4 or similar issues.

The Maxwell operates without issues and maintains performance at 60 frames per second... quite the performer!

Certainly, at that level of detail you won't encounter any problems.

That's why I went for a 270x setup—it's way too much for my screen. Still, Unity behaves poorly even at this size.
