Far Cry 4
Far Cry 4
The eagles man, swapping animals for dinosaurs would make it feel like a modern Turok. I played quite a bit when it stuttered, and it looks better now. I haven’t beaten it much, though a lot of what you do can become repetitive, but it’s still fun. I’m not interested in climbing towers anymore!
I personally found the story to be quite unremarkable, more akin to a dull experience. The real issue was spending most of my time with just two characters—Sabal and Amita—which left me feeling disengaged. I really enjoyed Pagan Min, Longinus, the two geeky types, Chiffon, and maybe a couple others I can’t recall. I’d rather be part of Uncle Pagan’s wild adventures than assist the Golden Path. The pacing was off, with villains often getting two chances each before being eliminated. There were also some minor annoyances, like the starting area being blocked by trucks that forced you to use a car to bypass them, only to have the game crash repeatedly. Outpost attacks felt pointless since they didn’t influence the outcome. Overall, I had a good time and considered it a solid game. For fans of Far Cry 3, it’s essentially the same experience in a different style—unless you’re looking for something entirely new, it might not be worth the investment.

It's really frustrating seeing this problem keep happening in Ubisoft's 2014 titles. The watchdogs, AC Unity, and FC4 all had issues. Only the Crew functioned correctly.
I enjoyed the tale a lot; I found it really great. The stutter didn’t bother me much. It might have been more noticeable when it first started.
