Far Cry 3 vs. Far Cry 4
Far Cry 3 vs. Far Cry 4
Do you believe Far Cry 4 stands out among the series, or do you think Ubisoft didn’t enhance the experience after Far Cry 3? I personally favor Far Cry 4. My affinity for mountainous environments makes the game’s setting ideal for me. Plus, Pagan Min is such a vibrant character, even when he appears infrequently in the game.
While still exploring Far Cry 3, it seems to have made a noticeable upgrade across every aspect.
Far Cry 3 offered a stronger narrative and more polished execution. Far Cry 4 improved the gameplay marginally. I just hope FC4 included more of the Himalayas in the open world.
I just noticed something (almost anything) that reminded me of a story from Far Cry 4. Like, the ending was *spoiler alert*—just the beginning of the cutscene. The gameplay felt much more detailed in 4, and it was definitely tougher. I wish they’d had an even better story than the one we received in 3. But instead, Ubi chose to send all the writers from 3 to their graphics department, sigh...
The gameplay in FarCr4 feels more humorous, thanks to the multiplayer feature. Just team up with a friend (no lag issues for me) grab that helicopter, and you'll notice. I haven't laughed as much in a cooperative game for a long time. The solo mode is still quite entertaining and enjoyable. It's less surprising compared to FarCry 3. The Shangri La levels are impressive, the artistry is outstanding.
they're quite alike in terms of gameplay... 4 introduces a few new elements... its XP/upgrade tracking changes slightly... side quests feel more polished with 4 as well... it's not a huge leap compared to 3, but it offers a smoother experience. The narrative on 3 seems a bit stronger, though I'm still early in the main story on 4. It appears the protagonist starts with more drive, almost like they're eager to take action from the start. 4 seems to lean toward a more straightforward approach, while 3 offers a richer story experience.
I actually bought Far Cry 3 on release day, but the second I realized I had to run the game through Steam THEN through Uplay, I let it rot in my Steam library. Will give it a go after I finish Far Cry 4 though. People say it's a great game.
It's clear the main character is responsible for driving the narrative forward.
