Hello, today my case fan wasn’t functioning properly, so I removed it and reinserted it. Now every time I power on the PC, both the case and PSU fans run at maximum speed. If I remove the hard drive, the case fan operates normally, which isn’t very helpful because I only have one drive and the PSU fan stays at full capacity. When I take out my RAM sticks, the PSU fan matches its speed, but again, it’s the same issue—can’t really run a system without RAM. Based on the noise, it seems adding half of the RAM might lower the PSU fan speed, though I’m not sure. Also, the PSU fan appearing to work when RAM is removed could be because of a post error or it turned off before spinning up fully.
It's strange I found a friend with an HP laptop. If you added more RAM, the fan speed should increase, right? But when I checked the BIOS, the case fans were fine, and the PSU fan wasn’t a concern as long as it was spinning.
Unfortunately, the noise is quite high and I've looked into the BIOS. The device performs consistently across all configurations, and even when connected to another header, the behavior remains the same.
