thinking about the current prices, it really makes sense to buy now. i paid the full amount and had a great experience, plus more content is expected this year.
Well, there are still some dedicated supporters who seem to like it even though it has issues. But it looks like even these fans are starting to leave. I wouldn't think about paying the full price for this title. If you can find it at a really low cost or even for free as a promotion, then it's worth trying. By cheap I mean under $20 USD, which feels pretty steep to me. There are whispers that the game will eventually become free to play, and honestly, that could be the best outcome. It might just be the only chance to keep the game alive right now. But unless they actually make real improvements and stop the unnecessary changes Bethesda has been making, the player base will stay small for a while.
I spent around 200 hours working on the launch issues, including old ones, but I'm finished now that new content is coming. If you paid $20 and I didn’t exceed that, you’d have enough material to support that cost.
I invested nearly that amount of effort (over 180 hours) into Fallout 3 and the DLC because there was a lot to explore and accomplish.
Farming involved creating legendary enemies for a desired weapon, but it never materialized. It covered the most valuable crafting materials, server hopping for items, nuke zones, and armor set pieces. The experience was quite engaging, similar to other loot grinding games, though not too different. I likely finished the main content around level 100, spending about 80-90 hours, with some exploration along the way.
