I’d choose Witcher 3. It’s got a unique mythos I find fascinating.

Witcher 3 marks the beginning of a new era in gaming. Fallout 4 just updates old mechanics from seven years prior.

I enjoy playing Fallout 4, especially the gunplay. Building is great and the environment reminds me a lot of Skyrim. It feels alive and responsive, letting you do your own thing. Still, I think it’s probably time to take over the world, but I haven’t finished the game yet. I got tired of The Witcher after a few days. I could pick it up again, but right now I’m too caught up in Fallout!

Check the Ars Technica review for Fallout 4. Try Witcher 3 and Fallout 3+ for more options.
