Fallout 4 VR Issues!!!
So I just downloaded Fallout 4 VR. My main problem right now is the frame rate—it's stuck at 40 FPS and can't go higher. This is really frustrating in VR. I need to let you know I'm running it. My system has an i7 6700, 8 GB DDR4, and a 1660 Ti. The Oculus Rift S headset is also there. I checked for solutions but couldn't find any fixes. It's making the experience terrible. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
The Rift S defaults to 40fps when your system struggles to reach 80fps.
I ran it with an i7 6700k and a GTX 980 ti; maintaining 60fps at 1440p was challenging. The Rift S resolution is significantly higher than 1440p (2172 x 2016).
You'll need to reduce settings to get the game running.
In SteamVR, go to the applications tab and select Fallout 4 VR. You'll see a slider for resolution adjustment; it starts at 2172 x 2016 at full scale.
