you got the fallout 4 game and it runs faster when you have high fps. i have an amd card and don’t want input lag. also, is there a mod you can download? also, i don’t have fallout4.ini.

Use Vsync to limit your FPS, since some game engines perform better at higher FPS.
Edit: After a brief online search, the game engine for Fallout 4 is connected to FPS performance.

No harm done, but making games run faster with high FPS could be a great way to fight piracy. If pirates have to play with poor FPS, the game would feel too fast.

They would target pirates instead of buyers. The FPS should be limited, and the fallout.ini file is likely accessible, though not shown here.

Uncertain about the technical details, but you can find information on similar projects in other games. It has been implemented before, such as in Game Dev Tycoon.

I'm facing the same problem with the monitor on my pg258 Swift and a 5700xt gigabyte. I've tried setting the highest resolution and ultra options, but the GPU is fine—it still doesn't fix the issue. Now I'm considering adjusting the FOV in the (....Are we using Windows or Linux???????) .ini file as mentioned on the Bethesda site. The other step I plan to try is setting the monitor's HZ to at least 120Hz and then configuring the framemax parameter to 2 in the .ini file. I don't know what Bethesda intended... We just want to avoid becoming programmers... OMG!
