Hello everyone! I’m seeking feedback on whether the problem lies with my setup or the game itself. Whenever I enter a building and check around, my FPS falls from 55-60 to the 30s. For instance, at a water treatment plant, passing by a large yellow pump causes my FPS to drop to 30 when I look directly at it, but returning to view it again brings it back up to 55-60. Could this be due to a system bottleneck, or is it just the game not being fully optimized yet? I’m using medium game settings (low God rays, medium shadow distance) and have the beta update installed. My specs: CPU i5-4460 @ 3.2 GHz, 8GB RAM, GPU R9 380, 15.30 driver, Windows 8.1 x64. Thanks!

It's a common problem with the game. A few mods can help, though I can't promise big fixes. I'll look up some links later. Note: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comment...er_issues/ This also seems useful. http://dev-c.com/fallout4/shadowboost/

It seems there might be an issue with the game, as checking a pump shouldn't lead to FPS drops.

It seems the issue might be with the game itself. I'm here to help, but it looks like your system could use some updates. Thanks for reaching out!

It seems you're experiencing the same issue with FPS drops.

If you own the game on Steam, you can join beta updates which may resolve issues but could also cause other problems. * At your own discretion *

Ensure you have the most recent Crimson driver installed. Avoid any settings that might negatively impact performance.

I wouldn't agree with that. It stabilized my FPS but caused other issues, like the compass bar not showing anything except when I'm crouched.

Start with a simple solution. The first page of the nexus contains the files required to repair the compass. Avoid using the NMM; handle it manually. Once fixed, you’ll achieve smooth performance without the compass issues.

The water treatment facility appears to face problems for everyone I've heard about. With limited tech skills, I haven't finished the task because of the sudden surges.
