Depends on where he lives, for example, I live in a third world country in a city with population of 40'000, the only way someone will hire you for a part-time job is if you have connections. Not only that, but the minimum wage is 340$, now imagine if you only work on saturtdays and sundays, it will take a whole eternity to earn enough money for a new gpu. While on the other end my friend is currently in England and is making 4-5x more money than he would in our country and can afford anything he wants. But yeah, in first world countries you can earn enough money for a powerfull PC just by working in the summer, which is really great.

06-23-2016, 07:36 AM #19It varies by location—part-time earnings here are $100 a month, but a $980 credit costs $1000. Just pointing out they might cause issues. It’s happened before.
