Fallout 4 factions
Hey everyone. Can anyone give some guidance on whether completing missions with a specific Fallout 4 group might trigger consequences when interacting with another group? For instance, would the Minute Men react negatively if I focus on the BOS? Thanks ahead of time!
OMGHER! Last chance for a fresh take on FO4. I’ll help where I can! Just remember, fractions can get you into trouble if you push too far. Mostly, the other three are your enemies, while the MM stays neutral or good—hard to annoy them. You can survive through each side before they turn against you. I don’t know what the other two are, but before I started a mission the game warned me about hostility from the BOS (super useful). Still, using fractions might lock out quests even if you’re liked. That’s a bummer. TL;DR: Until the end, you can generally side with any faction without too much hassle.
Thank you for your response. I believe I'll continue with the Minute Men and select another faction, staying committed to them.
It's true, trying to play several factions can break immersion. For me, it felt forced when I had to support multiple groups simultaneously. The reactions from each faction, even when I wasn't with them, didn't match the "full-time" experience. This is partly because of the game's programming constraints. My suggestion is to focus on just one faction, not the Minutemen, which can enhance role-playing and storytelling.
They tried to downplay the notion of being in multiple factions, which sometimes made sense but other times seemed unclear. After my second attempt (the first one I supported Railroad) it felt like a completely different narrative, even though the missions remained similar. This time I’m concentrating more on MM quests and exploration.
