Not free. You have to pay to use Nexus. I wanted to download a mod but you have to use a credit card to open an account and pay 2-3usd.(forget the exact amount) That's why I use the Workshop, it's free and no credit card needed. Well, I guess you need a credit card for Steam so that's not fair. I'll provide a link so as to avoid further confusion. The patch. http://www.mediafire.com/download/3748h9..._Fixer.exe Nexus not being free. (note there is no free option to create an account) http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?ap...n=register

I take responsibility for the issue with the nexus, but you're mistaken. The instructions above clearly state that if you don't wish to purchase a Premium Membership, just skip this part by clicking "Create Account" at the bottom. It's easy to miss this step. Regarding mods, it's RTFM—though I can't comment on that specific file. Personally, I've only needed to adjust the CPU core ini setting for Windows 7 or 10. My advice is to do your own research; verify the file's safety by checking where you found it and seeing if others are still raising concerns.

Hey there! That's awesome! I'm really impressed—maybe I'll call my Fallout 4 build after you for this. Could even become my second try, I'm excited about it!

You can restart the quest using the console "~". A search for "fallout 3 console commands" online should provide the details you need. Be careful, as using any console command might affect your Steam achievements. The unofficial patch could help, but since the quest is stuck and you don’t have another save, it’s unlikely to succeed.

That’s pleasant to hear. I usually don’t question how they manage the nexus, but that feels a bit excessive. Maybe I’m mistaken—I remember it used to let you go straight to the form with your name and password. It makes sense they handle a lot of traffic and costs are high, but it seems a bit too much pressure on new users to back in.
