I prepared for Fallout 4 by purchasing Fallout 3 on Steam recently. As a newcomer, I chose an older version and added some backstory details. However, I've encountered freezing issues that seem to occur only when inside the game. During my initial exploration of the vault, it froze frequently, but once outside it stopped. After reaching the first town, the game would freeze immediately upon entering a building. I've adjusted settings to their minimum, disabled SLi, and played at native resolution, but the problem persists. The Steam version is running on a 4790k processor with an EVGA Z97 card and 2GB RAM. I have 16GB of RAM available. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check out Fallout Nexus, grab the 4GB enabler fix, the unofficial 3D patch, and the Studder Remover. Once you have them, crashes will mainly come from conflicting mods (around 80 installed).

Great, thanks! I’ll handle it now and let you know the result.
Edit: It worked flawlessly!
Thanks a ton.
