I just finished playing FO4 and it’s not the best content for the year. No way. Those who claim otherwise are either struggling mentally or refusing to accept reality. Although I really enjoy the series, this one feels completely off. It’s just too simplistic. FO4 is a continuation of one of the greatest and most iconic RPGs ever made, released in 1998 and still stands out. Anyone who likes this level of dialogue complexity is clearly misguided. This isn’t about personal preference—it’s a complete lack thereof. Honestly, you’d have to be an idiot to enjoy it. If it were a pure shooter, I wouldn’t care, but they’re calling it an RPG, which frustrates me endlessly. Bethesda clearly can’t deliver a compelling story.
Fallout 4 is my top choice for the year. You should pay attention.
I agree the narrative is less compelling than in earlier titles. However, the gameplay feels more fluid in many areas.
