I recently purchased a Hyper X Fury 8GB DDR4 RAM and wanted to see how it stacks up against my previous setup. I realized the parts differ, so which one is not genuine? (I bought both from various online sellers.) Despite that, both function properly on my current machine. What should I pay attention to?

When it functions, they perform their tasks. Slight variations exist because of updates and production runs, but nothing significant.

The motivation behind creating fake RAM isn’t clear. It’s unlikely every Hyperx product comes from the same source or uses identical parts, especially given current supply issues that could limit such efforts.

They likely updated recently, possibly with a new revision—check the official serial or model codes online for confirmation. The images don’t show the details clearly.

Many fake HyperX products circulate on the internet. These are often generic items featuring HyperX heatsinks.
