I’m facing issues with my PC after it was built a few months ago. It would crash during gameplay after playing for about an hour to four hours. Mostly the graphics driver failed, so I suspected a GPU problem. I reinstalled the latest drivers and even performed clean Windows reinstalls, installing drivers offline without an internet connection. I updated the BIOS to the newest version (twice, since a new update came during troubleshooting). The crashes varied; sometimes the system would reboot after the crash and other times it didn’t. I thought the GPU might be the culprit, so I replaced the CPU and began testing the RAM using Memtest86. I followed instructions from an online guide, adjusting timings to 6000 Hz with settings 30-38-38-96. After the test, Memtest reported no errors, and I didn’t experience crashes for several days—possibly just luck. Later, I rechecked with only one RAM stick in slot 2 at a time; the tests passed without issues even after repeated attempts. Currently, I’m using one RAM stick and have been running smoothly for five hours. I suspect a hardware fault, but from testing it seems the CPU or motherboard could be faulty. I don’t have replacement parts on hand, so I’m unsure what else to try. Could you suggest another approach or identify the more likely faulty component?
